Генетическая система, функционирующая при скрещивании дрозофил определенных линий, действие которой проявляется в гибридном дисгенезе hybrid dysgenesis: Р-элемент (paternal) - мобильный генетический элемент transposable elements из геномов самцов природных популяций, М-элемент (maternal) - фактор цитоплазмы самки из лабораторной линии, принадлежащей к М-типу, в присутствии которого происходит активация Р-элементов (в геноме дрозофил М-типа Р-элемент отсутствует); Р-фактор кодирует белок типа транспозазы transposase, который активируется в цитоплазме М-цитотипа, что приводит к транспозициям Р-элементов и гибридному дисгенезу; считается, что Р-М.э. играют существенную роль в обеспечении высокого уровня генетической изменчивости и могут быть факторами видообразования у дрозофил.

Р-М-элементы — генетическая система, обусловливающая Р-М гибридный дисгенез при скрещивании определенных линий Drosophila: Р-э. — мобильный генетический элемент в геномах самцов природных популяций, М-э. — материнский фактор, имеющийся в цитоплазме самок лабораторной линии М-типа (в геноме особей этого типа отсутствует Р-э.) и в присутствии которого происходит активация Р-э. Р-э. кодирует белок транспозазу, активирующийся в цитоплазме М-цитотипа, что приводит к транспозициям Р-э. и гибридному дисгенезу.
